Each item is priced at just $5.75ea.The Taste of 575 Experience is a great opportunity for you to explore places you’ve wanted to try, but were concerned that there might not be something on the menu that interest you. You might also just want to enjoy trying something new as part of a date-night or break from the routines of life.vYou have to ask for “A Taste of 575” to get the special menu. You can still order an entree from the regular menu, so feel free to enjoy all they have to offer.The Nest KennesawThe team over at The Nest Kennesaw, really surprised me with their selections. They went with our default recommendations of an appetizer, dessert, and drink. Their selections were great, but my favorite was the Key Lime dessert which I found to be a very intense spin on a key lime pie. Try all three and let me know what your favorite was. DIVE Southern Coastal Kitchen (Canton)DIVE Southern Coastal Kitchen joined the program and played into my favorite kind of food; seafood. The choice to offer jumbo shrimp as part of the special surprised me in the best way possible. Coupled with their very flavorful drink, I was very pleased.One of these treats would go well with their all you can eat crab legs specials.JimPa’s Restaurant & Catering (Kennesaw)JimPa’s was a suprise to me since I had passed by them many times before venturing in. I’m glad I did and excited about having them join the program. Their food is “Cooked to Order” so it takes a little longer to prepare. The result, however, is food so hot, you’ll find yourself waiting for it to cool down before diving in.My favorite over at JimPa’s had to be their lightly breaded catfish which came out steaming hot and full of flavor. The shrimp and chicken were delicous as well. Don’t forget to try the dessert of the week while you’re there.Catfish Hox (Marietta)As the latest edition to the program, Catfish Hox came out swinging and stepping things up a lot. First there was the Fried Green Tomatoes which had to be some of the best I’ve ever had. The other item that blew me away was the catfish strips which managed to take me back to my youth when I spent time fishing in Florida and Southern Georgia. The sauces with both of these were amazing.If these four restaurants are an indicator of what area restaurants are going to showcase as part of this program, I think you’re going to be very pleased. I just have to figure out how I’m going to sign up for a gym membership since all this “tasting” is going to catch up with me pretty soon.
